Lease Extensions

The Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 provides many leaseholders with a statutory right to extend their leases for an additional 90 years (on top of the remaining Lease term), subject to the payment of a premium to the Landlord. The Act prescribes a complex process which must be followed in order to successfully achieve the Lease Extension.

If you are considering extending your Lease, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Our team can provide expert legal advice and assistance in relation to both voluntary and statutory Lease Extensions for all types of residential properties.

Our previous experience includes:

  • Acting for a major Housing Association on a Lease Extension project involving over 150 statutory claims across their portfolio;
  • Dealing with a Lease Extension for a prime London property with a Lease premium of over £190,000;
  • Representing one of London’s largest landed estates in respect of statutory Lease Extension claims received from tenants across their portfolio.

If you would like us to assist you with any of the above, or you would like to enquire about the Residential Property services that we offer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly team today on 01279 295047.
